You will join the SMD Innovation team and will play an important role contributing to the design and development of subsea vehicles and subsystems—working independently or in a small team.
About The Role
You will play an important role contributing to the design and development of subsea vehicles and subsystems—working independently or in a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse engineering data to predict system behaviour and performance.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to incorporate engineering analysis and calculations to support product design.
- Validate calculation or simulation models against experimental results and refine as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to product performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards.
- Develop and execute computational models and simulations using appropriate software tools.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in simulation software such as ANSYS FEA, CFD, Orcaflex, or equivalent.
- Competence in engineering tools such as Autodesk Inventor, Mathcad, etc.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and numerical methods.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Navy Architecture Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- +3 years relevant experience in industry.
