The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our European Technical Centre to work alongside our growing team of engineers. We are seeking an engineer that is able to design and develop new and bespoke Electric Actuators. In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Supporting mechanical designs and prototypes
  • Supporting technical inquiries and investigating product claims
  • Producing detailed technical documentation
  • Conducting product and prototype testing using various tools, such as PLCs
  • Developing and delivering training to internal and external associates
  • Researching market and technology trends

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree or HND qualification – Mechanical, electromechanical or mechatronics engineering
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience with SolidWorks (or similar) designing mechanical components or assemblies for industrial machinery
  • Strong mechanical and general electrical engineering knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed technical reports and product documentation
  • The ability to occasionally travel abroad to support customers with our product, research exhibitions for market trends, and join in-person meetings

Desirable, but not essential skills:

  • Over 3 years of experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications
  • Strong understanding of design and manufacturing standards
  • Technical product support experience
  • Experience with planning and managing projects
