We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality home care services to clients in their own residences. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals requiring support with daily activities. Have access to own vehicle. Duties
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Supporting clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records of care provided
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where necessary
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Updating care plans regularly in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
- Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure consistent quality of service
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and understanding of individual client needs is advantageous
- Proficiency in IT systems for recording and updating client information
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving driving clients or equipment between locations
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy when supporting vulnerable individuals
