Salary and Bonus: £42,000.00 per year plus Bonus paid at £3.25 per circuits after 250 circuits tested per week.
The Fixed Wire Testing Engineer uses their skills and experience to ensure the safety and compliance of electrical systems and equipment. They perform testing procedures as detailed in BS7671, take the lead when working with other engineers, and offer training and guidance to trainees and junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years testing experience in Commercial and Industrial environments
- Spend the required 40 hours per week on site
- Submit reports (EICR, Observations, Site Audit Pro) to the required standard within 5 days of completion on site
- Complete Thermal Image Reports and submit within 5 days of completion on site
- Complete Emergency Light testing and submit reports within 5 days of completion on site
- Send in completed job sheets within 24 hours of finishing on site
- Reports and Job sheets saved to the company server on a daily basis
- Timesheets updated and saved to the company server daily
- Be available to work a reasonable amount of weekends throughout the year
- Be available to work outside of core business hours as required by the Company
- Be available to stay away as required by the business
- Organise and liaise with site contacts to ensure works are completed as specified
- Works to be completed within the required time and budget
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new engineers when joining the company
- Assist with training and development of Trainee engineers and updating required training logs
- Complete all Health and Safety training by the required due dates
- Assist the office with van swaps and vehicle servicing appointments
- Complete any other tasks (Remedial Works etc.) as required by the Company
