Smash Padel are looking to recruit a General Manager for our 6 canopied padel court centre, at our Taunton site which is at Queens College. This person will have the ambition and determination to lead a team of dedicated professionals to deliver this new and existing sport to the communities of Taunton. This will be an LTA registered venue at the prestigious Queens College. Smash Padel has a nationally recognised children’s coaching program, academy and a great following of social activities. A wonderful facility bringing new activities for people of all ages and abilities. A great opportunity to tap into schools, corporates and surrounding local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for the overall strategic management of Smash Padel Taunton, its facilities, programme growth and facility development.
  • Responsible for ensuring the facilities has effective day to day operational management.
  • Develop and maintain all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety plus all legal obligations.
  • Drive commercial performance through an innovative approach: delivering excellent standards and services that both meet the customer needs and occupancy targets as set out in the objectives for the centre.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including community groups, employees, LTA and Smash Padel management to ensure the facilities and Padel programmes continue to grow and improve.
  • Manage the Padel programmes across the Smash Padel offering in conjunction with the programme manager and Taunton centre head coach to ensure the programmes are planned and delivered to the highest standards.
  • Adopt and implement the Smash Padel inclusive policy to offer Padel to all community groups and players.
  • Work with your team to develop initiatives to recruit new customers and create an event calendar that supports maximising court usage.
  • Ensure the Smash Padel brand profile and core values are marketed correctly.
  • Securing content in order to promote our services through all media channels with campaigns to drive increased footfall.
  • Oversee the stock control for kit, equipment and F&B products.
  • Ensure the facility is safe and secure and manage supplier contracts and agreements.
