Location: Plymouth / Office Based

Reporting to: Client Growth Manager

Normal hours of work: 37.5 per week, Mon to Fri between 08:30 & 16:30

Job Brief

As a Client Services Regional Account Manager, you’ll support the Client Growth Manager in delivering an exceptional experience for SMAS Worksafe clients while actively contributing to the commercial performance of your region. You’ll play a key role in onboarding new clients, driving supply chain engagement, supporting account growth, and maintaining strong compliance performance. Through effective data tracking, client communication, and proactive support, you’ll help increase revenue, boost assessment volumes, and protect client retention. You’ll also support the development of strong senior relationships by contributing to structured engagement with key Head Office stakeholders, including participation in quarterly face-to-face review meetings where appropriate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, using data to identify opportunities, and making a measurable contribution to client value and regional growth.

Commercial Contribution

In this role, you will directly support the success and growth of your regional client portfolio by helping to:

  • Support growth in revenue across existing client accounts
  • Increase assessment volumes by driving contractor engagement and adoption
  • Maintain strong regional compliance performance (target 90%+)
  • Strengthen client retention through consistent service and proactive support
  • Identify risks and opportunities within accounts and escalate where appropriate
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve usage, visibility, and value delivery

Responsibilities

  • Support the Client Growth Manager in managing regional client portfolios, assisting with meeting preparation, performance tracking, and follow-up actions that support account growth and retention.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth portal setup and early supply chain activation to accelerate time-to-value and commercial impact.
  • Support regional revenue growth by identifying opportunities to increase engagement, adoption, and usage across existing client accounts.
  • Help drive assessment volume across client supply chains by supporting engagement campaigns, onboarding contractors, and encouraging adoption of prequalification requirements.
  • Handle inbound client queries professionally and efficiently, ensuring issues are resolved quickly to protect client satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain accurate records of client activity, engagement levels, and performance metrics within CRM and reporting tools to support data-led decision making.
  • Monitor adoption rates, assessment activity, and compliance performance across the region, flagging risks and growth opportunities to the Client Growth Manager.
  • Assist in preparing client review reports, presentations, and insight summaries that demonstrate value, highlight performance, and support renewal conversations.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to ensure client deliverables are met on time and aligned to commercial priorities.
  • Collaborate with clients and the Client Growth Manager on initiatives that increase awareness of prequalification requirements and drive contractor activation across supply chains.
  • Contribute to campaigns and initiatives that support regional growth, increased contractor engagement, and stronger client retention.
  • Capture client feedback and share insights that help improve products, processes, and the overall client experience.
  • Support the planning and coordination of quarterly face-to-face review meetings with key Head Office stakeholders and primary points of contact, helping to strengthen senior relationships, demonstrate value, and maintain strategic alignment.
  • Attend and contribute to these quarterly meetings where required, ensuring actions, insights, and opportunities are captured and followed up.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience in an account support, client success, or coordination role within a B2B, compliance, or service-led environment.
  • Commercial awareness, with an interest in how client engagement, adoption, and activity contribute to account growth and retention.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence managing professional client relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a regional client base.
  • Comfortable interpreting performance data, tracking trends, and using insights to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a mindset focused on improving client outcomes and supporting regional performance.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
