Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Tender & Contract Manager to support the growth and execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the EMEA region. This role involves managing the tendering and contracting process from pre-tender through to contract award and Notice to Proceed. You\’ll also contribute to improving internal processes and driving efficiencies across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the pre-tender process, including issuing RFQs/ITTs, onboarding new contractors, and collaborating with development teams.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (development, technical, legal, HSE, etc.) to align specifications and resolve technical or commercial clarifications during tenders.
- Negotiate commercial terms with preferred bidders in line with project requirements.
- Conduct contract reviews and risk allocations, recommending contract awards based on financial and strategic assessments.
- Manage projects efficiently, facilitating meetings, aligning stakeholders, and maintaining consistent communication across teams through weekly/monthly updates.
- Represent the company at industry events, promoting its commercial and technical capabilities in a professional manner.
Candidate Profile
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of the full energy project lifecycle and key players in the industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, particularly FIDIC frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); Portuguese is an advantage.
- Familiarity with renewable energy policy, environmental regulations, and market dynamics across Europe.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, construction management, law, or a related field is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy or construction sectors, ideally within an EPC or similar environment.
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiations, finalising agreements, and managing commercial claims.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
