Job Title: Project Manager – Battery Energy Storage & Solar
Location: Glasgow, UK

Their fully integrated delivery model enables the efficient execution of complex renewable energy projects across the UK.
Role Overview: Due to sustained growth, the company is seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager with a background in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and solar energy projects. This is a key role within the Projects team, responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of renewable energy infrastructure developments from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage utility-scale battery storage and solar PV projects from initial planning through to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Lead project planning activities, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Coordinate and oversee engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and inspection/test plans, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to maintain progress and quality standards.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all project documentation, including contracts, technical reports, permits, and correspondence.
- Promote best practices and support continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree or recognised qualification in project management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience delivering renewable energy projects, with a focus on BESS and solar PV.
- Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure or energy projects.
- In-depth knowledge of battery storage systems and solar technologies, including relevant industry standards.
- Strong organisational and leadership capabilities with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is advantageous.
