We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
Working closely with management and wider departmental teams, the ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage BESS projects from initial development through to completion and handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance through KPIs and ITPs, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, employer requirements (ERs), permits, and technical reports.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes, systems, and methodologies.
- Professional qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing BESS or renewable energy infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects successfully.
- Strong understanding of BESS technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project and/or Primavera.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
- PMP or other recognised project management certification would be advantageous.
