The purpose of the Global Payroll Specialist is to join our global team and provide administration to payroll on a day-to-day basis and to support on payroll projects. This role will provide global payroll assistance for 13 countries, support in our global annual benefits renewal process, along with monthly benefits and payroll, employee lifecycle documentation for monthly payroll and working with the finance department to process payments. This role will also support on all compliance activities in the Payroll team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extracting and downloading benefit reports and managing the global payroll inbox, escalating queries when required.
- Providing excellent customer service standards to the global business.
- Handling a mixture of pro-active and re-active tasks, including logging benefits requests and data, responding to employee queries, maintaining Payroll databases and benefits portals, data tracking and document development.
- Supporting global monthly payroll, including new starters, leavers, benefit changes, etc.
- Tracking global employee data and changes in relation to the annual and monthly benefits.
- Updating and maintaining the global benefits portals.
- Preparing monthly payroll data for submission.
- Assisting with Year End transactions (P60’s, PBIK’s, etc).
- Adhering to payroll policies and procedures and complying with relevant law.
- Updating the system daily, in line with GDPR.
- Monitoring the payroll inbox and responding to queries, escalating when required.
- Any other duties as required.
Essential Skills:
- Good working knowledge and experience in payroll.
- Strong Excel (V look Up & Pivot Tables)/Microsoft capabilities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing business environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent accuracy with data input and attention to detail.
- Experience in working effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience of UK pension administration within the payroll function.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Previous experience of PAYE.
Desirable Skills:
- Working knowledge of current legislation.
- Working knowledge of ADP systems along with IRIS Staffology.
- Working knowledge of Zest/Employee Navigator benefit portals.
- Working knowledge of Sage People or Workable HRIS.
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Previous payroll/benefit administration experience (Essential).
- Good standard of formal education (A level preferred).
- Above average literacy and numeracy.
- CIPP or equivalent qualification desirable.
