Deputy Chief Governance Officer – 3 mths – hybrid Shrewsbury - £790 (neg) pday) Our client is seeking a highly experienced Deputy Chief Governance Officer (Health sector) to work on a hybrid basis – 3 days in Shrewsbury p/wk. Daily rate is negotiable depending on relevant experience The Deputy Group Chief Governance Officer is a senior leadership role, responsible for supporting the development and delivery of an integrated governance framework across the Group. The post holder will provide strategic leadership across the full portfolio Qualifications Chartered Governance Institute Qualifying Programme qualification and/or Masters level qualification Evidence of continuous professional development Desirable: Relevant professional qualification in governance, company secretarial practice, legal, risk management, or information governance Management qualification or equivalent leadership experience Knowledge, behaviours & experience Significant senior leadership experience within governance, corporate affairs, risk, assurance or a related function within the NHS • Demonstrable experience of advising Boards, Committees, Chairs and Executive Directors on governance, risk and regulatory matters • Experience of developing, implementing and improving governance and assurance frameworks • Experience of leading teams and delivering complex programmes of work through others • Experience of working across organisational boundaries and building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders • Strong understanding of NHS governance, accountability and regulatory frameworks • Knowledge of risk management, Board Assurance Frameworks and organisational assurance processes •Knowledge of information governance, data protection and information risk management principles • Understanding of Freedom to. Experience required: Outstanding leadership and people management skills • provide credible strategic advice and constructive challenge to Boards and Executive teams • interpret and communicate highly complex governance, legal, regulatory and organisational issues • Strong analytical and problem - solving skills • Excellent report-writing and presentation skills • Ability to develop effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholder s • Strong influencing and negotiation skills • Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion when handling highly sensitive matter s • Ability to lead across organisational boundaries and through matrix arrangements • Skilled facilitator of Board development and organisational learning • Experience of programme governance and large - scale transformation oversight Other • Participation in on-call arrangements
