Location: Hybrid - UK Wide

Rate: £650 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 12 months

Security Clearance: BPSS (required)

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Relationship Manager with strong SRM expertise, NEC contract knowledge, and a solid background in construction environments. This is a high-impact role supporting the delivery of complex, high-value contracts within a public sector setting.

You will operate at a senior level, managing key commercial relationships, driving value, and influencing stakeholders across a complex multi-supplier landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial activity from strategy through to contract award, ensuring robust governance and compliance
  • Establish and manage open, competitive procurement procedures
  • Oversee NEC-based contracts and ensure alignment across scope, documentation, and commercial terms
  • Collaborate with Legal teams to draft and negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance and long-term value
  • Deliver high-risk, high-value frameworks and contracts
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, leading pre- and post-contract negotiations
  • Influence senior stakeholders and suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
  • Resolve disputes and drive agreement across complex stakeholder groups
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience in Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) or senior stakeholder/partnership roles
  • Strong construction sector experience, including commercial delivery and supply chain understanding
  • Experience working within or alongside the public sector/government environment
  • Track record of operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, up to executive level
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and long-term objectives
