Location: Manchester or Barrow (Hybrid - 80% onsite/20% home)
Duration: month contract
Rate: £480/day to contractor

Role Summary
A skilled Oracle/SQL Database Administrator is required to support and maintain databases within the Dragonfly secure environment, ensuring performance, stability, and availability of BAU services. This role is suited to a hands-on DBA comfortable working in a high security, high integrity setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Monitoring - Maintain, tune, and optimise Oracle SQL Server databases
- Incident Management - Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage service incidents
- Backup Recovery - Execute backups, restores, patching, and version upgrades
- HA/DR Support - Support technologies such as AlwaysOn, Data Guard, and RAC
- Security Compliance - Operate within strict security protocols and ensure full compliance
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong experience as an Oracle and SQL Server DBA
- Comfortable working predominantly onsite in a secure facility
- Proven background in HA/DR, performance tuning, and secure environment operations
- Excellent problem solving and incident resolution skills
