Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to work on a hybrid basis (3 days p/wk) in either Manchester or Newcastle upon Tyne.
You will have current SC clearance ideally or be eligible to go through SC clearance.
At this role level, you will:
- Work closely with software developers to reach a common understanding of the code base and test coverage at unit level.
- Collaborate with analysts to ensure the required business scenarios are covered in the acceptance test scripts.
- Work on both functional and non-functional areas of an application.
- Coach and mentor testers.
- Communicate with stakeholders within and outside the organisation to coordinate test coverage and schedules.
Essential technologies:
- Java and Spring Framework
- Cucumber for BDD testing
- REST APIs
Beneficial to be familiar with the following technologies:
- Wiremock
- Maven
- AWS Stack, including secure cloud testing
- Automation Testing (Selenium/JMeter/K6)
- REST Client (Postman/Insomnia)
- GitLab CI
- Java (to code Cucumber steps in test framework)
- Container environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
