We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to drive both hands-on delivery and technical leadership across a high-impact programme within a UK government environment. This role suits a senior technologist who can shape technical direction while remaining close to the code, mentoring teams, and delivering scalable, secure cloud-native solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of technical leadership and delivery across a key programme
- Setting and evolving the technical strategy and architectural direction
- Remaining hands-on with development across Node.js and AWS serverless environments

Key Skills Experience
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Deep experience with AWS, particularly serverless technologies
- Strong background in software development, including integrating multiple systems and services
- Experience with authentication and security, including OIDC and modern identity approaches
- Experience setting technical direction and leading delivery in complex environments
- Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering capability
