Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to work on a flexible hybrid basis in either London, Manchester or Bristol on a weekly flexible basis with some travel to other offices.

You will be a highly experienced practitioner in your field and have experience working closely with or in local authorities. You will have a history of working in fast-paced environments and producing structured, evidence-based analysis in uncertain spaces, including clear findings, models, options and recommendations.

You will have worked extensively with partner organisations - ideally local authorities - via running workshops, investigated detailed lines of enquiry with individuals and teams and interacted with senior staff in politically-charged environments.

Experience required:
  • Extensive experience of leading programme planning, roadmap development and stakeholder engagement.
  • A deep understanding of digital service delivery, and awareness of commercial and IT market challenges in the local government context.
  • Practitioner-level experience of relevant business analysis disciplines, including business modelling, context and problem analysis, and business process improvement, alongside an understanding of the cultural, organisational, functional and process change required to effect transformation.
  • An understanding of technical, business, and data architecture required to deliver local government services.
  • Demonstrable experience of being self-driven, able to create, prioritise and deliver projects or work on your own.
  • Experience of presenting articulate and credible narratives at all levels across an organisation including being able to resolve entrenched positions with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of a variety of methods to enable you to very quickly become a subject matter expert in the areas you are assigned to investigate.
  • An understanding of how reorganisation and devolution may affect digital service delivery and transformation across local government.
