Our client is seeking an experienced Scheduler to work on a hybrid basis from their London office – 2-3 days per week.

This role is accountable for:

  • Creating, owning and maintaining the Building and Infrastructure Portfolio (BIP) master plan and programme project schedules.
  • Identifying and analysing problem areas in the master BIP plan and programme project schedules.
  • Proactively managing relationships with project management teams to provide timely, accurate and correct information and implement solutions.

The role is responsible for establishing, owning and maintaining the Master Plan Programme Schedule as the primary strategic tool for managing all aspects of the delivery of the BIP Portfolios, governance, monitoring and controlling design, procurement and construction activities across multiple projects and workstreams of Building and Infrastructure Portfolio (BIP). Apply UK governance standards. Attend design, procurement and construction meetings to monitor these activities across the BIP portfolio.

Working closely with Programme and Project Managers, consultants and contractors, the role ensures project schedules comply with contractual and assurance requirements (including NEC contracts, RIBA stages, the Five Case Model of business cases, Risk, Optimism Bias and Gateway reviews). Acts as a specialist advisor on planning and scheduling matters and ensures regular reviews of deterministic, P50 and P80 schedules. The Scheduler will record (P6 schedule).

Engage effectively with stakeholders including Project Programme delivery teams, Property Asset Strategy, Strategic Estates PMO, Maintenance Services, Customer Experience Service Delivery, Enterprise PMO and wider corporate services.

The role involves facilitating regular programme updates, attending and contributing to governance and coordination meetings, and supporting project teams and other schedulers through matrix management arrangements.

Provide input into the development of business cases (led by business case lead) and provide input to checkpoint and Gateway Assurance reviews.

Support the development and management of robust schedules to ensure timely procurement of works services to deliver the Portfolio.
