Public Health Engineer, PE Design Engineer with capital works, heritage, or transport/rail experience is required to work on a high profile project of national interest in London

As the Public Health Engineer you will lead the technical assurance and review of Public Health Engineering designs across the clients programme.
Acting as an informed client, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary technical team to independently assess consultant-produced designs to ensure compliance with programme requirements, statutory obligations, applicable standards and heritage constraints.
The role will provide clear technical challenge, timely advice and practical recommendations within a fast-paced programme environment.
Essential
Degree in Public Health Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation.
Experienced in Public Health building services design in the context of complex building projects.
Sound knowledge of UK regulations, standards and industry best practice.
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
Sound engineering judgement and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Experienced and proficient in the use of digital delivery and coordination tools, including Aconex, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu.
Ability to work proactively and effectively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary Programme environment.
Desirable
Experience of assuring designs produced by others.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Technical discipline lead for Public Health, providing technical guidance internally within the programme and engaging with key stakeholders across the programme.
Undertake independent reviews of consultant-produced designs, calculations, reports, specifications, drawings and BIM models of key technical areas including:
Domestic cold water systems o Domestic hot water systems Gravity and pumped foul and rainwater drainage systems o Rainwater harvesting and attenuation Greywater systems
Fire suppression interfaces
Energy, sustainability, BREEAM and WELL requirements
Verify that designs meet programme requirements
Challenge design assumptions, identify risks, gaps, non-conformances and opportunities for value improvement.
Monitor consultant performance and ensure delivery aligns with scope, programme and quality requirements.
