Programme Management Lead in London

Programme Management Lead – 6 months – hybrid - £(Apply online only)pday) Our client is seeking an experienced Programme Management Lead to work on a hybrid basis at either their London, Manchester or Bristol offices between 1-3 days p/wk on-site. The programme is establishing the foundations needed to support long-term technology modernisation and legacy remediation across the public sector You will establish and lead the Programme Management Office for a high-profile and complex cross-government programme. You will create the governance, controls, reporting and assurance arrangements required to support effective decision-making and successful programme delivery. Essential criteria Experience establishing or transforming a Programme Management Office (PMO) within a complex programme, portfolio or organisational environment, including designing governance, reporting, controls and ways of working. Strong project delivery expertise, with experience implementing programme controls including planning, risk and issue management, dependency management, assurance, benefits management and change control. Experience delivering technology-enabled change, with the ability to work effectively with digital, data and technology professionals and apply programme management disciplines within a technology delivery environment. Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience influencing senior decision-makers and driving delivery across multiple teams and organisational boundaries. A recognised project, programme or PMO qualification, such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), APM ChPP, MoP or equivalent. Desirable criteria experience working within government, arm's-length bodies or other large, complex public sector organisations
