Professional Events Lead β Corporate Events β Conference Lead β Government -
One of our government clients is recruiting for a Professional Events Lead to join them in a 6 month contract.
This role is inside IR35 and offering Β£(Apply online only) per day.
They are hybrid working and can offer bases in London or Manchester, 2 days per week onsite.
London office is preference.
Our client is looking for someone with the ability to think strategically and understand the context of what is currently happening within government and industry, including how they can bring those together.
You will need to direct the team as the SME event organising.
Skills and experience required
- Experience of devising and implementing conferences and events, covering audience development, speaker management, invitations, delegate engagement, logistics and post-event evaluation.
- Evidenced experience of securing sponsorships and liaising with vendors/venues will be required
- Experience in events management, programme management or operational delivery, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile events to tight deadlines within a large organisation.
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders, speakers, suppliers, external partners and delivery teams, balancing competing priorities to achieve successful outcomes.
- Experience of working with external suppliers, venues or event delivery partners to deliver high-quality events and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Experience of communications planning, delivery and evaluation, using audience insight to shape activity and measure impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging and accessible communications, briefings and event materials for a range of audiences.
- Proven ability to provide events and engagement advice to teams and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping ensure successful delivery.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
