Facilities Service Engineer, Hemel Hempstead (with travel throughout the UK), 5 month contract Inside IR35, £38p/hr-£40p/hr. SC required.
To provide planned and reactive maintenance to designated office and equipment site locations, including facilitating access for, and on-site management of, specialist maintenance service providers and maintaining on site compliance and H&S records and documentation in relation to Facilities activities and responsibilities. Assisting the Field Services engineering team as required with general maintenance activities.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out technical planned maintenance from PPM schedule
- Carry out reactive maintenance as identified either from planned maintenance activities or as reported via reporting system
- Carry out operational and safety audits at designated sites
- Provide access and on-site management of specialist maintenance contractors
- Maintain on site records and documentation
- Monthly reporting of maintenance activities to Facilities Manager
- Monthly reporting of audits and environmental data capture to Facilities Manager (and others as required)
- Participation in call out rota (currently one week in four) covering own and other sites
- Willingness to travel anywhere within the UK if required
- Carry out annual PAT testing at designated locations and ad hoc for internal staff and field teams as required
- Deputise for Facilities Manager as required
- Be responsible for and manage spending on company credit for maintenance consumables/goods/equipment and report monthly to Facilities Manager
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
What You’ll Need:
Essential:
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualified electrician
- Driving licence
- Security Clearance
- Previous experience in a similar role
- IT literacy
Desirable:
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) test & inspection qualification
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) PAT testing qualification
- IOSH (or similar) Health & Safety training/qualification
- Legionella Awareness training
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
- Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration
- Knowledge of plumbing and drainage systems
- Knowledge of fire and intruder alarm systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of UPS systems, standby generators and BMS systems
- Experience in carry out minor building fabric repairs
- Experience of supervising maintenance contractors
- Experienced in working alone with minimum of supervision
