SmartSourcing are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to provide high quality commercial leadership and assurance across the full procurement life cycle. The postholder will work closely with senior commercial colleagues to ensure that all commercial activity is planned, governed and delivered in line with our clients requirements. The role will contribute to the development of commercial strategy, support the delivery of complex procurements, and strengthen contract and supplier management across the organisation.

Key Duties Responsibilities

  • Commercial support to senior staff
  • Provide expert commercial advice by leading or supporting new procurements, contract activity and supplier management initiatives.
  • Commercial assurance - Lead the commercial assurance of requirements, ensuring compliance with Cabinet Office Spend Controls and the NCA Commercial Assurance Board, and managing stakeholders through all governance stages.
  • Internal stakeholder engagement - Work collaboratively with internal partners to maintain the commercial pipeline, registers and records, supporting forward planning and the identification and realisation of commercial savings.
