Smartsheet is looking for an experienced International Payroll Manager to provide cover for a period of maternity leave. This will be a 9‑month fixed‑term contract initially to provide cover for a period of maternity leave. You will provide direct employee payroll support globally in addition to reviewing payroll, reconciling, and other payroll tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills in identifying and implementing payroll process improvements and strong project‑management skills to coordinate the planning, implementation, and administration of programs. The Manager will oversee the international payroll operations with minimal supervision, supervise a team, and provide high levels of customer experience to our global employees.
You are detail‑oriented, curious, analytical, and have exceptional communication skills with the ability to think outside the box for problem solving and solutions. There is a wealth of knowledge to be learned and we are looking for a team‑player that is excited to jump right in!
You Will:- Manage International Payroll for EMEA and APAC regions to ensure timely processing and compliance.
- Partner with the external vendors and internal accounting team on multiple accounting activities, including expense report reimbursement, monthly/quarterly accounting close activities and other variance analysis.
- Maintain effective internal controls for the payroll function and proactively work with business partners to identify process improvements and gaps.
- Direct the efforts of payroll staff and vendors to ensure timely and accurate process output.
- Ensure proper reviews are in place for payroll output from the payroll vendor. This includes all payroll inputs that are accurately captured.
