Smartsheet is looking for an Enterprise Solutions Engineer who will provide technical leadership throughout the inside sales process. You will be a trusted solution and technical advisor during the sales process and provide expertise that ensures successful Smartsheet deployment and adoption.
You Will
- Be a recognised Smartsheet expert and develop deep Smartsheet knowledge relevance (workflow definition, solution design).
- Partner with Account Executives to deliver technical demonstrations of the Smartsheet SaaS platform, Integrations, and Add‑Ons.
- Collaborate with existing Solutions Engineers in the design of creative solutions to customer requirements using Smartsheet.
- Identify, build, and demonstrate Smartsheet solutions that solve specific customer problems.
- Develop strong relationships with sales teams to drive successful sales engagements, this could include providing daily product/technical support to cross‑functional partners.
- Provide support for preparing technical responses to prospect questions, FAQs, knowledge base and case support entries; help define “best practices” for broad usage across large enterprises.
- Collaborate with Product teams to ensure offerings align with customer needs.
- Support marketing related events periodically, traveling onsite to represent Smartsheet, demonstrate the platform and connect with customers or prospects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You Have
- 1‑3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer in the SaaS and/or enterprise software industry.
- Technical leadership and outstanding customer‑facing skills.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation), with the ability to explain technical subjects to non‑technical end user personnel in large enterprises.
- Ability to quickly build credibility, as well as understand and resolve customer technical issues.
- Strong competence participating in a complex, solution‑based enterprise sales process.
- Experience in solution design or solution architecture related to collaboration/workflow/project management.
- Willing to travel periodically based on customer and business need.
- Legally eligible to work in the UK on an ongoing basis.
