For over 20 years, Smartsheet has helped people and teams achieve–well, anything. From seamless work management to smart, scalable solutions, we’ve always worked with flow. We’re building tools that empower teams to automate the manual, uncover insights, and scale smarter. But more than that, we’re creating space– space to think big, take action, and unlock the kind of work that truly matters.

Smartsheet has identified four flagship solutions as foundational to its go-to-market strategy. These solutions represent how the Smartsheet platform delivers measurable outcomes for customers. Each solution brings together the right capabilities, integrations, and best practices to address a defined business challenge — helping us drive engagement, win new customers, and grow within our installed base. This role will specifically focus on the Digital and IT Portfolio Management solution — helping IT leaders drive governance, visibility, and agility across their enterprise portfolios.

We are looking for a technical solutions marketer who can bridge Smartsheet’s platform capabilities with the needs of the IT leadership audience — CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, IT Portfolio Managers, and IT governance professionals. You will develop deep subject matter expertise in how enterprise IT teams manage and scale digital work, govern tools, and orchestrate portfolio visibility using Smartsheet. Your insights will fuel differentiated messaging, impactful content, and GTM strategies that demonstrate how Smartsheet helps IT organisations modernise their operating models, consolidate tools, and deliver measurable business value.

This role is based at Smartsheet in London, UK (hybrid or UK, remote eligible) and reports to a Principal Product Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Audience & Market Expertise: Develop a 360° understanding of IT leadership priorities (scale, agility, visibility, automation, governance, security, compliance) and how Smartsheet addresses them. Map buyer committees and define message frameworks that resonate from C-suite (CIO/CTO/CISO) to functional buyers (IT portfolio leaders, GRC, and tool admins). Benchmark Smartsheet’s IT capabilities against key competitors and adjacent platforms.
  • Technical Storytelling & Content Leadership: Translate platform capabilities into compelling solution narratives and hands-on technical demonstrations (e.g., interactive demos, whiteboard explainers, value calculators, and eBooks). Show how Smartsheet supports IT value levers — scale, agility, governance, automation, integration, and visibility — through measurable outcomes. Create content that speaks to both strategic value (e.g., risk reduction, IT efficiency, portfolio agility) and technical credibility (security, scalability, architecture).
  • Solution Positioning & GTM: Partner with Product, Sales, and Solution Engineering to define use case-specific GTM plays targeting IT leadership and GRC stakeholders. Own the positioning and messaging for IT-related solutions, ensuring consistency across campaigns, enablement materials, and field content. Collaborate with Professional Services to develop service packages and implementation blueprints that reinforce Smartsheet’s credibility in enterprise IT transformation.
  • Sales & Partner Enablement: Enable sales, customer success, and partner teams on how to articulate Smartsheet’s IT value story, using competitive comparisons and quantifiable proof points. Equip field teams with talk tracks, value quantification, and objection-handling frameworks that resonate with technical evaluators and executive sponsors.
  • Insights & Measurements: Leverage market data, customer telemetry, and usage analytics to inform product and GTM strategy. Continuously test and refine messaging to improve conversion rates, buyer engagement, and win rates in the IT segment. Partner with analysts, industry bodies, and customer advocates to strengthen Smartsheet’s visibility and thought leadership in IT portfolio management and governance automation.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years in B2B SaaS product or solutions marketing, with proven success in IT buyer-focused roles (CIO/CTO/CISO, IT Ops, GRC, or tool administration)
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architectures, security and governance models, and integration ecosystems
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes and executive-level narratives
  • Track record of data-driven storytelling using customer metrics, benchmarks, and value models
  • Comfortable engaging with enterprise sales, solution consultants, and IT architects to validate messaging and demo content
  • Experience with product-led growth models and influencing technical evaluators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at simplifying complex ideas without losing technical rigor
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK on an ongoing basis
Benefits & Location
  • Employer-paid Private Medical and Dental, additional cost for family members.
  • Monthly contributions toward your pension.
  • Monthly stipend to support your work and productivity.
  • 25 days paid for Holiday + Bank Holidays + Flexible Time Away Program.
  • 20 weeks fully paid Maternity Leave.
  • 12 weeks fully paid Paternity/Adoption Leave.
  • Personal paid Volunteer Day to support our community.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development including access to Udemy online courses.
  • Company Funded Perks including a counseling membership, salary sacrifice options, and your own personal Smartsheet account.
  • Teleworking options from any registered location in the UK (role specific).

At Smartsheet, your ideas are heard, your potential is supported, and your contributions have real impact. You’ll have the freedom to explore, push boundaries, and grow beyond your role. We welcome diverse perspectives and nontraditional paths—because we know that impact comes from individuals who care deeply and challenge thoughtfully.
