We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate AI Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining AI-powered tools and resources specifically within our Salesforce environment to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our technical support operations. The primary role is to collaborate with others to identify, develop, and expand the usage of AI-related tools across the organization. The position will primarily work with internal teams and system vendors.

You will report to ourSr. Manager, Global Support Excellence and Contentand this role is based at Smartsheet’s corporate offices in London, UK (hybrid or UK remote eligible).

You Will

  • Collaborate with others to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that automate routine tasks, enhance knowledge base accessibility, improve contact deflection, and optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure seamless integration of AI tools and features into existing platforms.
  • Assist in collecting and preparing data needed to train, fine-tune, and evaluate AI models to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Evaluate model performance, fine-tuning models for optimal results, and deploy AI models into production environments.
  • Help develop chatbots and virtual assistants using conversational AI techniques.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Research and stay updated on the latest AI and machine learning technology advancements.
  • Collaborate with others to monitor the performance of deployed AI tools, identify areas for improvement, and perform regular maintenance to ensure stability and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with others to understand their pain points and gather requirements for new AI solutions. Provide training and support to end-users on new AI tools and features.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed AI tools, including design specifications, deployment procedures, and user guides for assigned tasks.
  • Partner with others to remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and Salesforce technologies to assist in identifying innovative ideas for leveraging AI to further enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Contribute to other assigned tasks, projects, and initiatives as needed to support team and organizational goals.

You Have

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience working with AI/ML concepts and technologies (e.g., natural language processing, machine learning algorithms).
  • Experience designing and deploying AI solutions, preferably within Salesforce environments, specifically automating tasks, enhancing knowledge systems, and optimizing workflows for sales, service, billing, or professional services teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI services (e.g., AWS AI/ML, Google Cloud AI, Azure AI).
  • Understanding of software sales, support operations, and common customer service challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
