Transport & Logistics Planner, Salary: £42k + benefits package & career opportunities, Based: Gravesend. Monday – Friday, 37.5hr week with 33 days holiday inc bank hols. We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport & Logistics Planner to join a leading Modular buildings Provider. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar Logistics & Transport Planner role, optimising schedules and efficiencies. Experience in a similar logistics operation and of HIAB / Lorry loader crane transport is desirable. The role: As the Logistics & Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective transportation of modular buildings and structures. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating transportation routes, optimising delivery schedules, and managing logistical operations to meet customer requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with transportation regulations. Taking charge of day-to-day planning and management of the region and trusted haulage partners. Maximising vehicle utilisation by identifying synergies and optimising efficiency and productivity. Building strong relationships with third-party hauliers for seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery. Collaborating with colleagues, providing accurate information, and being a central point of contact for transport projects. Proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic forward planning. Designing and executing safe, efficient transport deliveries that minimise risks and maximise cost-effectiveness. Candidate requirements: Experience in a similar Logistics & Transport Planner role, optimising schedules and efficiencies in a similar logistics operation. Knowledge / experience of HIAB / Lorry loader crane transport is desirable. You should have a strong geographical understanding of the UK. Possess influencing skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mind-set with business acumen and the ability to build strong relationships.
