We have an opportunity for a Regional Installation & Maintenance Technician to join a leading provider of Portable cabins, Secure Storage Solutions, Modular buildings / accommodation units and associated products. Applicants will need to have general construction and property maintenance / Facilities Maintenance experience. This role could suit candidates from a range of backgrounds including Installation Technician, Property Maintenance Technician, Facilities Maintenance Technician, Multi-Trader, Handyman or similar. Any experience of Slinger / Signalling or lifting operations at site would be highly advantageous but training and qualifications can be provided.
The role: The purpose of this role is to undertake installation and de-installation of units and associated equipment, supervise and co-ordinate lifting operations on site, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies. Your direct line reporting will be to the Install Manager, but you will also report to Project Managers for the duration of a project. You will be responsible for the handover to the customer once the work has been completed and obtaining sign off to confirm the project is complete and ready for use. You will also assess units prior to collection to determine any damages, documenting these and getting this confirmed and signed by the customer. Where there is no scheduled Installations, you will be attending customer sites for repair and maintenance tasks or work in the Service Centre fitting and preparing cabins for hire. This work can involve fitting wall and floor panels, kitchen units, basic plumbing, fixtures and fittings.
Candidate requirements:
- Experience in a relevant role E.g. Installation Technician, Property Maintenance Technician, Facilities Maintenance Technician, Multi-Trader, Handyman or similar.
- Any experience of Slinger / Signalling or lifting operations at site would be highly advantageous.
- Basic IT Skills.
- CSCS Card - NVQ Level 2 Blue Skilled Worker.
- ECS, IPAF or PASMA would be advantageous.
- Valid UK driving licence.
