About SmartResilience
SmartResilience is a climate adaptation SaaS company helping global organisations quantify and reduce physical climate risks across their operations and supply chains. While many organisations focus on disclosure frameworks such as TCFD, we help them move beyond reporting toward practical, engineered resilience. Our platform combines climate science, geospatial modelling and adaptation planning to support real-world decision-making. We are backed by climate-focused investors including One Planet Capital, Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund and supported by Innovate UK.
We are now looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to help us grow our pipeline and connect forward-thinking organisations with our platform at a pivotal moment for climate resilience.
The Role
As an SDR at SmartResilience, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients — researching targets, sparking conversations and qualifying opportunities for the commercial team. This is a high-impact, outbound-focused role ideal for someone early in their career who is genuinely motivated by sustainability and wants to develop serious commercial skills in a growing climate-tech company.
Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify enterprise prospects across priority sectors including food, healthcare, retail and real estate
- Execute thoughtful outbound outreach across LinkedIn, email and events
- Engage sustainability, ESG, risk and operations stakeholders to open conversations
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and book discovery calls for the sales team
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and activity tracking in CRM
- Market & Sector Awareness
- Develop working knowledge of TCFD, physical climate risk and emerging sustainability regulation
- Use sector intelligence to personalise outreach and demonstrate relevance
- Monitor climate, ESG and regulatory trends to inform prospecting strategy
- Team Contribution
- Share prospect feedback and market signals with the commercial and product teams
- Support the preparation of outreach campaigns, messaging tests and event follow-up
- Contribute to refining our go-to-market approach as we scale

- 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, sustainability, or a client-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach and comfort with outbound outreach
- Genuine interest in climate change, ESG or sustainability
- Resilience, curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment
- No prior climate expertise is required — we will invest in your development.
Culture & Environment
We are building a high-performance culture grounded in flexibility, care and empathy.
- Flexible working arrangements
- A supportive, low-politics environment
- Direct access to leadership and real commercial exposure from day one
- A strong emphasis on trust, ownership and learning
What You'll Gain

- A clear progression pathway toward Account Executive
- Competitive base salary + performance commission
- The chance to grow with an investor-backed company at an important stage of scale
