We are seeking a highly skilledLead Generator Engineerto join our Engineering team. This role will serve as theprimary technical point of contactfor our customers, providing expertise and resolution of issues related to generator electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary systems.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability, customer focus, and the ability to work within amultidisciplinary engineering environmentthat includes gas and steam turbine operational aspects. This position also supports the Engineering Manager and wider engineering team across a range of customer support activities.
Key Responsibilities
Providetechnical expertise and problem resolutionfor generator systems and associated auxiliaries.
Support generatoroperation, maintenance, commissioning, and outage activitiesat customer sites.
Prepare and delivertechnical reports, specifications, and presentationsin line with engineering standards and customer requirements.
Conducttroubleshooting, verification, and root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and preventive measures.
Liaise between field and design teams to address technical challenges and drive resolution.
Collaborate with procurement teams on technical specifications, RFQs, and vendor qualifications.
Build and maintainstrong customer relationships, ensuring issues are communicated and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Represent the company during inspections, customer meetings, and technical reviews, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higherin Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge ofgenerator mechanical components(bearings, seals, rotor components, end-windings, etc.).
Experience withlarge rotating machinery; familiarity with gas and steam turbines is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to writetechnical reports, specifications, and procedures.
Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication across multiple levels of the organization.
Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to manage urgent and complex technical requests.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluency in business English; Japanese language skills are beneficial but not essential.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% and to support urgent customer requirements outside of standard working hours.
