Elderly Befriender - Drivers only needed (mileage paid 30p per mile).
Care to Drink Tea and Eat Cake £14.85 per hour, guaranteed hours
£13.25 availability to work days in the week and alternate weekends(£14.85 earned wage including holiday pay)
Home Instead Cambridge is expanding its team and looking for caring, compassionateElderly Befriender Care Assistants to support adults living at home with a range of needs throughout Cambridge and in your local area. We currently have various positions in areas CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, CB5, and CB24.
Drivers are paid mileage paid at 30p per mile.
We currently have care vacancies available with immediate starts. With clients needing a mixture of morning, afternoon and evening support. At Home Instead we have a variety of working patterns, these are listed below:
- 7am-10pm
- 7am-6pm
- 7am-2pm
- 7am-12pm
- 9am-10pm
- 2pm-10pm
- 6pm-10pm
All our care professionals work alternative weekends availability and typically work between 10-35 hours per week. We would need the alternate weekend availability to be at least the same as your weekday availability, but more if you are able to so.
We're looking for Care Professionals who may already have experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Elderly Befriender or in Domiciliary Care. We would also love to hear from anyone who has experience caring for loved ones or been a volunteer. We would encourage you to apply as a Elderly Befriender Care Assistant with Home Instead as full training and support will be given.

Being a Elderly Befriender means you need to be adaptable, personable but ultimately put others first. Your role may include:
- Helping with some possible personal care
- Helping with mobility around the home
- Overseeing medication and providing medical support
- Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions
Elderly Befriender to have aValid UK Driving Licence(with access to a vehicle for work purposes).
