Location: RAF Leeming, DL7 9NJ
Hours: 20 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
Contract: Part Time
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a friendly and enthusiastic General Service Assistant to join our team at RAF Leeming. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment, delivering excellent service, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy catering operation.

What you'll be doing

• Serving food and beverages to customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout catering and dining areas
• Restocking service counters and ensuring displays remain well presented
• Supporting hospitality and catering services across the site when required
• Washing up and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times
• Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive dining experience

Qualifications

• A positive and customer-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Previous catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and safety
