Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused General Service Assistant (GSA) to join our team at RAF Boulmer. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards.

As a General Service Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of catering, hospitality, and facilities services, helping to ensure a positive experience for all personnel and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food service in dining facilities, messes, and hospitality areas
• Prepare and set up dining areas for meal services
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout dining and kitchen areas
• Wash up and operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with basic food preparation as required
• Replenish food, drinks, crockery, cutlery, and consumables during service periods
• Support hospitality and special events as required
• Follow food safety, health and safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
• Report maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Work collaboratively with catering and support teams to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail, cleaning, or customer service environments

• Experience working within a contract catering or facilities management environment
