As a Financial Crime Consultant, you will work alongside experienced practitioners on some of the most pressing financial crime challenges facing organisations today. You will gain exposure across the spectrum of financial crime disciplines, develop strong consulting capabilities and contribute to meaningful outcomes for clients and society.
The Opportunity
As a Financial Crime Consultant, you will support clients in understanding, managing and mitigating financial crime risks.
You will work across a broad range of engagements covering anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud, bribery and corruption, customer due diligence, governance, risk management, regulatory change and financial crime transformation.
You will help clients assess risks, enhance frameworks, improve controls and deliver practical solutions that meet regulatory expectations while supporting business objectives.
Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to client deliverables, facilitate workshops, undertake analysis, conduct research and support senior stakeholders in addressing complex financial crime challenges.
What You Will Be Doing
You will have opportunities to:
- Support the delivery of financial crime advisory, transformation and regulatory engagements.
- Assess financial crime risks and control frameworks across multiple financial crime disciplines.
- Review and develop policies, standards, procedures and governance arrangements.
- Conduct research and analysis relating to financial crime regulation, industry developments and emerging risks.
- Support financial crime risk assessments, gap analyses and framework reviews.
- Contribute to operating model, process and control design initiatives.
- Help clients respond to regulatory change and evolving supervisory expectations.
- Produce high-quality reports, presentations and client deliverables.
- Support and facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues across risk, compliance, transformation, digital and data and operations disciplines.

Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for curious, commercially minded and collaborative individuals who have a genuine interest in financial crime and regulatory compliance.
You may currently work within a financial institution, payment firm, consultancy, regulator, government body or another organisation with exposure to financial crime risk management.
- Understanding of financial crime risks, including anti-money laundering, sanctions, bribery and corruption, and fraud.
- Knowledge of financial crime regulatory and legal frameworks.
- Experience within financial services, consulting, regulatory or related environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to interpret information, identify risks and develop practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience producing high-quality reports, presentations and client‑facing deliverables.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and adapt to changing client requirements.
- Exposure to regulatory reviews, transformation programmes or regulatory change initiatives.
- Experience working with or supporting regulators.
- Knowledge of UK financial crime regulations and guidance.
- Experience across multiple financial crime disciplines including AML, sanctions, fraud, and bribery and corruption.
