We are expanding our global Growth Marketing team at Smartly and seeking a passionate marketing professional to join us! As the Director of Marketing Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Marketing team operates efficiently with the right tools, services, and processes while maximizing the impact of all marketing activities. This role combines hands-on marketing automation expertise with high-level strategic planning, cross-functional project management, and operational leadership to enhance marketing performance, scalability, and revenue contribution.
Reporting to the VP of Growth Marketing and leading a team of three, you will be a key member of the global marketing team. You will also collaborate closely with Sales, SDR, Sales Operations, Finance, and the broader marketing team to drive the success of marketing initiatives.

- Own the full marketing technology stack, identifying and implementing new tools and integrations.
- Manage the lead lifecycle, including lead scoring and progression from creation to opportunity, in collaboration with Sales Operations.
- Ensure data quality and governance by maintaining best practices in key systems, including database hygiene, enrichment, segmentation, and analysis.
- Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning, setting measurable goals aligned with business priorities.
- Oversee project management and execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring cross-team alignment, timely delivery, and efficient resource allocation.
- Manage and allocate the marketing budget, ensuring optimized spend for maximum impact.
- Own marketing reporting, including marketing attribution models, and build and maintain Salesforce and Marketo Measure dashboards to track marketing performance across the funnel, to inform budget decisions.
- Define key marketing KPIs and develop cross-functional reporting for performance analysis.
- Partner with Sales Operations to optimize integrations and data flow between Marketo, Salesforce, and other sales tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve marketing technology issues, optimizing platform performance and efficiency.

- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in tech companies (preferably SaaS).
- Proven experience in marketing operations or with deep proficiency in marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Marketo, Hubspot, Salesforce), with preference for Marketo experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Datorama) is a plus.
