We partner with organisations of all sizes, including individual and corporate membership bodies, charities & fundraisers, societies, colleges, and regulatory bodies. We are a small but growing business, with a workforce of just shy of 55 people.
About the role
This is a rapidly growing and in-demand area, offering plenty of opportunities to add your personality, skill set, and professional experience to our projects. Most of your time will be spent either delivering the solution for a key project or involved in a small portfolio of in-flight projects at different delivery stages. This could be in discovery (requirements gathering), in ‘build’, providing training or UAT support, or in post go live ‘warranty’ as we transfer over to our internal support team.
We are looking for people who can use their consultancy expertise within the context of the ‘Microsoft stack’ (specifically Dynamics CE) and take the lead on projects from a requirement gathering, requirements definition, solution design/architecture, and deployment perspective, while managing commercial and client expectations/constraints in partnership with an assigned project manager.
Your responsibilities
- Design and develop appropriate, secure, and scalable solutions based on Microsoft and SmartImpact defined best practices.
- Create, manage, and own the product backlog (requirements) via Azure Dev Ops (ADO) from SmartImpact perspective.
- Create high-quality solution design documentation (high-level design documents and/or functional specifications).
- Lead workshops/playback meetings to clearly explain our recommended technical solution to clients.
- Complete customisation/development of product solutions; utilising a low code/no code approach where appropriate.
- Take the lead and at times ‘sole role’ for customisation/configuration.
- Work with Developer resource and take a hybrid approach, if possible, for any custom development involving plugin/third party products.
- Provide a level of Quality Assurance on every assigned project, including system/unit testing.
- Contribute to project risk/issue mitigation with the project team.
- Support clients through deployment to go live, and complete handover documents as required.
Requirements
- Experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics CE and exposure to previous versions/upgrades process.
- Exposure to PowerApps, Flows, Canvas Apps, Power BI, and Azure.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure/Dev Ops in the context of project delivery.
- The ability to communicate with, influence, and manage client expectations.
- Experience of requirements gathering and business process mapping.
- An ability to create and maintain high-quality functional specification documents.
- A proven track record of successful implementation of technological solutions.
What we offer
- Continuous learning: You will develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
- Support and leadership via our SMT team.
- Exposure to great clients, bespoke products, and the latest technology.
- An open and collaborative friendly working environment with knowledge sharing at the centre.
- Remote working with ad hoc office visits for team meetings and socials.
- Diverse and inclusive culture: You will be respected for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others and our clients.
