Basic Salary: Up to £36,500 (depending on experience)
OTE: Up to £47,000+ per annum (including bonuses)
About the Role
Due to continued growth, SmartFits Installation Limited is looking for experienced Vehicle CCTV and Telematics Field Engineers to join our nationwide team with a particular focus on candidates based in the Midlands and Greater London areas.
As a SmartFits Engineer, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced vehicle telematics and CCTV systems. You’ll be instrumental in helping our clients optimise fleet performance, safety, and data insights.
You’ll report directly to our Installations Director and work alongside an experienced, supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality service and innovation across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain vehicle telematics and CCTV systems, ensuring full functionality and integration with existing vehicle electronics.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and connectivity issues using your technical and mechanical expertise.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Ensure all installations comply with health, safety, and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in vehicle telematics and/or CCTV installations.
- Strong mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Professional and well-presented, as this is a customer-facing role.
- Full UK driving licence (required).
