In this key position, you will lead a team managing our compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements, primarily across the UK group. We’re looking for an experienced Head of Compliance & Regulation to lead specialist teams covering Industry Regulation, KYC, Trading/Financial Reporting, and Policy & General Compliance. You will oversee team performance, development, and delivery of key regulatory obligations across UK/EU energy markets.
In this senior role, you’ll guide the business on compliance matters including Anti-Corruption, Competition Law, Modern Slavery, and AML, while managing emerging regulatory changes and associated business risks. You’ll act as a main contact for external bodies such as Ofgem, DESNZ, Energy UK, and industry code administrators, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory submissions (RO, FiT, TRAS, GSOP, complaints, RFIs, etc.). You will support audits, contribute to internal governance forums, prepare senior management reporting, and be a voting member of SEBL OpCo and SEBL RMC. The role also involves approving counterparty contracts, KYC sign-offs, and hospitality declarations in line with internal policies.
