The Finance function is undergoing a large-scale transformation to become a leading practice function with highly scalable, efficient processes, high standards of control and promoting improvements to performance management.
The Group Technical Accountant at SmartestEnergy is a key role that interfaces directly with the global Finance leadership and a wide range of business units. This position is pivotal in offering specialized technical accounting expertise, in particular fair value accounting under IFRS9, and guiding the implementation of new IFRS standards and Companies House regulations. Additionally, the role involves enhancing our accounting practices by developing and formalizing policies within a comprehensive group accounting manual.
This is a standalone role which reports to the Group Financial Controller within the Financial Reporting and Control department.
