We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing credit risk across a diverse portfolio of energy trading counterparties. This position combines in-depth quantitative and qualitative credit assessment with strategic support for commercial, legal, and treasury activities. You will evaluate the creditworthiness of UK flexibility generators, gas, power, renewable certificate, and broader energy sector counterparties, while supporting the negotiation of credit provisions within complex trading agreements and developing innovative credit solutions to facilitate business growth.
Working closely with colleagues and external counterparties, you will monitor exposures, manage margining and collateral arrangements, oversee reporting and risk controls, and contribute to cash and treasury optimization. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with counterparties, exchanges, brokers, and support organizations, ensuring effective credit governance, proactive risk management, and the delivery of insightful reporting to support informed business decisions.
