Join our team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of our Energy Trading activities. In this critical control function, you’ll independently validate transactions within our ETRM system, ensuring they align seamlessly with trade blotters, contracts, and broker confirmations. You’ll help maintain our high compliance standards by managing timely trade confirmations, supporting EMIR/REMIT reporting obligations, and ensuring all exceptions are monitored, investigated, and resolved. You’ll refine and enhance daily processes, contribute to automation initiatives, and support strategic projects such as the introduction of new products. With regular stakeholder interaction and responsibility for responding to customer queries, this role offers both variety and impact while helping strengthen the effectiveness and reliability of our trading operations.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Knowledge and interest of GB Power trading (products, market, etc.)
  • Strong and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including excellent Excel and VBA knowledge
  • Understanding of the commodities market
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to learn and develop
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and with a team to support delivery of the team responsibilities as a whole
