You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Electricity Settlement team, with a strong focus on developing team members, driving process improvements, and ensuring high performance against internal and industry KPIs.

The role spans both our Non-Half Hourly (NHH) and Half Hourly (HH) portfolios and plays a critical part in supporting our business as we prepare for qualification under the new Market-Wide Half Hourly (MHHS) settlement reforms. You will lead a team of operations executives, manage training, performance and wellbeing, and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners including metering agents, third-party intermediaries (TPIs), system developers, and regulatory bodies such as Elexon, Ofgem, and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

In addition to people leadership, you’ll take a hands-on role in analysing meter portfolios to identify Smart Meter opportunities, supporting strategic projects, and continuously seeking operational efficiencies. You’ll play a lead role in preparing for and managing industry audits.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • You should have experience in the energy industry with a solid understanding of the Electricity industry and Customer related processes;
  • Worked with computers, experience with Microsoft Office packages and can demonstrate a strong level of computer literacy;
  • Acute eye for detail ensuring all work is performed with the highest levels of accuracy and all required forms of due diligence are upheld;
  • A proficient level of understanding of the various NHH and HH settlement runs and be comfortable to consult with external parties including regulatory bodies;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of staff members.
