The Role
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help drive new business pipeline for SmarterPay. This role is focused on identifying, researching, and engaging with prospective customers across our target markets, and generating qualified opportunities for the sales team. You will prospect into UK‑based organisations that could benefit from SmarterPay’s solutions, using channels such as phone, email, LinkedIn and other sales tools. You will qualify inbound and outbound leads, book discovery calls and product demonstrations, and support campaign activity across key sectors, partners and events. This is not a managerial position and will not have any direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research and engage prospective customers across the UK market
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, emailing, LinkedIn outreach and sales tools
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and book discovery calls or demos for Account Executives
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure consistent follow‑up activity
- Support marketing campaigns, events, webinars and partner‑related outreach
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Partnerships to build and progress pipeline
- Provide feedback on messaging, objections and market trends to improve campaign effectiveness
- Represent SmarterPay professionally when speaking with finance leaders, public sector bodies, charities, membership organisations and other UK entities
