I'm working exclusively with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Stafford that is looking to appoint a Client Manager. This role is ideal for an experienced, qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW) with strong practice experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility in a leadership and client-focused capacity. The role offers high-level client engagement, involvement in complex tax planning and advisory work, team leadership, and strategic input into client and practice development. You'll join a technically strong team that values initiative, precision, and commercial thinking.
The Role
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as the primary advisor for all accounting and tax matters.
- Leading client meetings, offering strategic tax and financial planning advice in collaboration with the partners.
- Reviewing and signing off work prepared by junior staff to ensure quality and compliance.
- Driving client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Providing coaching, guidance, and formal line management for junior and mid-level team members.
- Supporting the development and implementation of internal processes and contributing to business planning.
- Playing a key role in the growth and retention of the client base.
