We are looking for a skilled Logistics Plant Service Engineer to help keep our operation running at its best. If you enjoy hands-on engineering, solving problems, and keeping machinery performing smoothly, this role offers plenty of variety and responsibility.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support plant servicing, oversee PSE workloads, and help drive improvements across the engineering function. It's a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who wants to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
What you'll be doing:- Completing planned preventative maintenance and plant servicing.
- Responding to breakdowns and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Allocating and supporting the workload of Plant Service Engineers.
- Keeping engineering documentation and Workmate records accurate.
- Identifying improvements and supporting continuous improvement activity.
- Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with engineering standards.
- Mechanical maintenance experience in logistics, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow PPM schedules.
- Apprentice trained with ONC/HNC Mechanical or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 Technical.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- PC literate and confident using maintenance systems.
- High completion rates for PPM tasks.
- Strong audit results and safe working practices.
- Well-organised workloads and accurate engineering records.
- Reliable plant performance and reduced downtime.
