HGV Assembly Technician (Semi-Skilled) Location: Winsford Rate: £13.84 to £15.08 per hour overtime opportunities Hours: MondayThursday: 07:3016:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch) Friday: 07:3015:30 Flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends. Full-time | Permanent | Immediate Start Role Overview As an Assembly Technician in our Production department, youll support either our specialist bodybuilding team or production line, helping to build high-quality trailer and vehicle bodies. Typical tasks include fitting floors, securing sides, and crafting roofs using materials such as hardwood, fibreglass, steel, and aluminium. Key Responsibilities Follow technical drawings and specification sheets to assemble components Work within a team to meet daily production targets Use hand tools for fitting, fastening, and finishing tasks Maintain strict health & safety standards and adhere to PPE requirements Keep your work area clean and organised Minimise waste through efficient use and disposal of materials Take on additional duties as needed, with full training provided Skills & Experience Hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills Demonstrated ability to achieve high-quality assembly of component parts Comfortable using a variety of hand tools Experience reading technical drawings is advantageous Self-motivated and organised, with a focus on hitting production targets Prepared to purchase a basic hand-tool kit as your role develops Perks & Benefits Overtime pay available Holiday purchase scheme (January) 39-hour week with flexible start/finish times Early Friday finish 25 days holiday bank holidays (pro-rata) Enhanced parental leave Subsidised on-site canteen free fruit & cake Fridays Free birthday breakfast On-site parking with EV charging (£0.197/kWh) Employee Assistance Programme Death in service benefit Christmas shutdown Ready to Get Started?
