Shot Blaster Our commercial Vehicle manufacturing client now has a position available for a skilled, over the shoulder, Shot Blaster Working Hours: Your hours of work will be 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday – Friday (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch each day) with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday. Night shift is 7.45pm 6.00am Monday Thursday. (with a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak) You will be expected on occasion to work later in the evening or weekends as business needs require. Key Objectives As a Shot Blast Technician you will be responsible for shot blasting various metals and heavy fabrications. Reporting to the Management Team, you will be efficiently and effectively preparing all steel components for the application of protective coating. Responsibilities Include: Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations Maintaining production area housekeeping Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently Maintaining a safe working environment at all times. The company requires all employees to adopt a flexible approach to work and you will be required from time to time to perform other duties. We will ensure that you will be adequately trained to carry out these tasks. Key skills and experience This role is ideally suited to a hands on, organised, proactive and self-motivated individual. Suitable candidates will have: Hands on paint-spraying experience ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing High quality automotive painting experience of specified materials such as stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium Ability to ensure production target output and quality is maintained Employee Benefits: £16.44 an hour day shift. £18.90 an hour night shift 41.5 hours days/39 hours nights 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Holiday purchase scheme every January.
