We are recruiting on behalf of a respected private outpatient clinic located near Winsford, Cheshire. This modern, patient-led facility delivers a range of minor surgical and interventional procedures across specialties including dermatology, ENT, facial aesthetics, and gynaecology.
With a reputation for clinical excellence and a supportive, collaborative team culture, the clinic is now looking for a highly capable Clinical Nurse Manager to lead their nursing and procedural team. This role is ideal for an experienced scrub nurse who enjoys hands-on leadership, thrives on high standards, and wants to play a key role in shaping the patient experience in a private setting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead scrub nurse for outpatient minor surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Oversee theatre preparation, patient safety, and aseptic protocols.
- Ensure compliance with WHO surgical safety checklists and clinical best practice.
- Supervise and support the nursing team to deliver safe, consistent, high-quality care.
- Uphold clinical standards, NICE guidelines, and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate closely with consultants, GPs, and the senior management team to develop and expand services.
- Lead on staff rotas, performance appraisals, and ongoing training and development.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and competency assessments.
- Foster a positive, cohesive working culture with a clear clinical focus.
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring adequate staffing, equipment and supplies.
- Work cross-functionally with admin and medical colleagues to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Contribute to planning and implementation of new services and service improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, infection prevention protocols, and health & safety regulations.
- Lead on incident reporting, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct audits, monitor KPIs and support continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure all patients are treated with compassion, dignity, and professionalism.
- Act as point of escalation for concerns or complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
- Gather and act on patient feedback to support service development.
- NMC Registered Nurse (Essential)
- Extensive experience in scrub/theatre nursing
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of outpatient/day-case procedures and settings
- Strong understanding of infection control and clinical governance
- Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Confident, proactive, and passionate about high-quality patient care
- Up to £54,600, depending on experience and contracted hours
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata), rising with service to 30 days, plus bank holidays (pro rata if part-time)
