Client Manager Practice Based | Up to £50,000 DOE | Hale, Altrincham

We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join our established accountancy practice. This position offers significant scope for progression and professional development. We welcome applications from individuals who are qualified by experience or hold ACA/ACCA qualifications. The role is based at our office in Hale.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. The focus will be on providing proactive support and ensuring high standards of service delivery across accounts preparation, taxation and general accountancy services. You will develop and maintain client relationships, manage multiple engagements and contribute to the firms growth plans.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage your own client portfolio, providing comprehensive services tailored to each clients needs.
  • Collaborate with the Directors and the wider team to ensure a high-quality, proactive service.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through effective communication and support.
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Review accounts prepared by trainees, providing feedback and mentorship.
  • Prepare personal and corporate tax returns and undertake basic tax planning.
  • Organise and prioritise workload, coordinating with other managers to allocate resources effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to broaden service offerings within existing client relationships.
  • Report directly to Team Leaders and Directors as appropriate.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified by experience or ACA/ACCA qualified, with a background in accountancy practice covering accounts, tax and general practice services.
  • Committed to delivering a high-quality service to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Sound commercial awareness and excellent time management skills.
