Semi Skilled Coachbuilder (Day Shift)
Working Hours: DAYS: Your hours of work will be 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 3.30pm on Fridays (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day).
Key Objectives
You will be working in either our specialist bodybuilding team or on a production line and be responsible for assisting in producing a finished trailer or vehicle body to a high level of quality. You will have a willingness to learn new skillsets with typical tasks including fitting floors, fitting trailer sides, and making roofs. You will be working with various materials including hardwood, fiberglass, steel, and aluminum.
Responsibilities Include:
- Following technical drawings and specification sheets
- Working within a team to meet production targets
- Following clear instructions from team members and senior colleagues
- Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining production area housekeeping
- Minimising waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
- Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
The company requires all employees to adopt a flexible approach to work and you will be required from time to time to perform other duties. We will ensure that you will be adequately trained to carry out these tasks.
Key skills and experience
This role is ideally suited to a hands-on, organised, proactive and self-motivated individual. Suitable candidates will have:
- Be willing to learn new skills
- Work to achieve high quality in the assembly of component parts
- Demonstrate skillset using various hand tools
- Ensure production target output and quality is maintained
- Read and work from drawings is an advantage
- Be willing to purchase their own basic hand tool kit as the job develops over a period
